Besides racing, growing up I have always been into sports. As a child I did different sports such as tennis, soccer, baseball, basketball and several styles of martial arts. I played basketball for 23 years, and it is the sport that keeps me busy and fit all year long.

I like spending weekends watching movies and series. Some of my favourites are -

Series: Arrow, Prison Break, The Big Bang Theory.

Movies: Space Jam, Iron Man series, Bruce Lee: Enter the Dragon.

My love for racing started at an early age, as my father was an active rider himself. My father raced in different classes like the 24 Hours and Suzuki 750 class, where in 1989 he became Dutch champion. The same year he also attended the Suzuki 750 World Finals in Jerez, Spain.
I started racing at the age of 17 in 2003 in the JuniorStock 600 class. Over the years I have been racing in Supersport and Superbike classes. Superbikes has been the class which has suited my style the best. I raced actively until 2013 where I stopped due to financial issues. In 2019 I’m ready to continue where I left off in the IRRC championship.
